Archana Jain Says Happiness Is Not Something We Find, It’s A Choice We Make

I know, a lot of people think that happiness is something they can find in other people or in success as a whole but truthfully that’s not the case. Happiness is not something you find externally, it’s something you create within.

If you truly want to be happy, you have to choose to be happy above all else. Now, I know some people struggle with mental illness, and happiness for those is not the same as it is for others. This article is not about those people, it’s about those who think that they’re going to find happiness in a relationship, money, or other things of the sort. The people who chase things that will never fulfill their expectations in the end.

Far too often we set ourselves up to be unhappy. We close ourselves off from the good things and only focus on the bad things. Instead of allowing our small achievements to sink in, we focus too much on our failures and the downsides of things. I know it’s not easy to change your perspective but once you choose to be happier in life and perhaps even in love, happiness overall comes flowing a lot more readily.

Below I am going to go over some of the tricks/tips that have helped me to be happier in my overall life and hopefully these too can help you or someone close to you. While they might sound silly, they really do make a big difference in a person’s overall outlook on things. If you’re not living your life how you want to live it, you’re not going to be as content as you might hope to be.

7 Tips To Help Bring More Happiness Into Your Life:

1. Let go of the past.

You cannot change the past and you will never be able to. Stop holding onto things you cannot do anything about. Life goes on and you must keep trecking forward.

2. Stop selling yourself short.

You have done a lot even if it doesn’t seem like it. Stop acting like your accomplishments no matter how small are nothing. You are doing more than you realize and you deserve a little pat on the back from time to time.

3. Cut toxic people out of your life.

This is your life and you should be living it for yourself. No one else can tell you who to be or how to live. At the end of the day, you’re the one who has to deal with the actions you put forth in this world.

4. Treat yourself better, show yourself the kindness you show others.

Stop being so hard on yourself. We all make mistakes. This world is full of people who are not perfect and never will be. Show yourself some kindness.

5. Try not to complain so much.

Instead of complaining try to see the good in things. Sure, you might be dealing with some serious struggles but there is something to smile about hidden in it all. What do you have to be thankful for?

6. Quit obsessively worrying about the future.

You never know what the future will hold and stressing over it is only bringing you down. Start living more in the moment. Tomorrow is not promised.

7. Know your worth.

Don’t let people treat you badly, you deserve the energy back that you put forth in this world. Know your worth and demand it. People will only treat you how you allow them to treat you.
